About Naida
As a little girl, I always had the passion of dance I started at age nine and my parents thought I would quit after one year... well that never happened!!!
Every day I fall more in love with dancing.
Dancing for me as well as many other people is a way of stress relive, freedom of expression, boosting self-esteem, and many others benefits like a great way to stay in shape and have fun, and most importantly is a way to socialize with others and meet wonderful people.
I have been dancing for about twenty years and teaching for fifteen years; I graduated from I.C.A. in Buenos Aires, Argentina, NADTA certified and NDCA registered teacher. I have taught for many years and performed at various places, taught at Naugatuck Valley Community College, Waterbury, CT 1996, Performed at Gateway Community College, New Haven, CT 1996, taught for after school programs in 1997 for HEIDY, with Michelle Evans, taught for three years at FOOTLIGHTSCENTER, Hartford, CT youth program from 2005-2008 and many others schools and colleges. I was also selected for the Connecticut Commission on the Arts program in 1996-1997
My training was primarily in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Flamenco dance; In 1998 I started my training in Ballroom dancing and Salsa/Latin dance where I learned another beautiful form of dance.
Now I have been studying the middle eastern dance for since 2005 and I have incorporated a unique style to my dance while still keeping it traditional.
I have learned with Shalimar and Alarah from CT in the year 2006, in July of 2008 I moved to FL where i have been continuing my studies at Bozenka's Academy.
During 2008 - 2009 I was traveling around US where I took classes with many different teachers from TX, NY, CA and OR where I have expand my knowledge and style; I also took workshops with Amar Gamal, Elshiva and Ranya Renne in NY
While still continuing with my studies, my goals are for the student to learn and also give a possibility to those who would want to make a career with dancing whether would be instructing others or just performing, I believe that this form of dance has so many venues that everyone deserves an opportunity.
